Ian Ramsey is the Professor of Small Animal Medicine at Glasgow University Veterinary School. He graduated from Liverpool, completed his PhD at Glasgow and his residency at Cambridge. He has published widely in various areas of small animal medicine but his main interest is in endocrinology. He was awarded the BSAVA Woodrow Award (2015), the SAMSOC Award (2023), and has served on numerous professional bodies, including BSAVA President 2020-21.
