Description

We hear a lot about psychological safety in our workplaces but how can we actually create it? Especially on sensitive topics where traditional techniques to combat incivility don't always work. If you've ever been unsure how to react to inappropriate terminology or old-fashioned attitudes, this session is for you. We'll work through real life scenarios and explore the impact of various actions and inaction, meaning you'll learn practical ways to champion inclusivity in your workplace. You will walk away from this session feeling more confident to challenge discriminatory behaviours in your workplace, have a better understanding of why it's important to do so, and be equipped with the practical tools to execute your actions in the most effective manner.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the importance and benefits of embracing diversity and difference, and active allyship.
  • Gain confidence in the power of allyship and the journey to becoming an ‘Active Ally’.
  • Develop practical tools, techniques and alternative perspectives for handling difficult conversations around discrimination.
