Dr. Beth Westeren Romig received a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science at Clemson University and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia, followed by an internship in the Large Animal Field Services department there, where she performed lots of equine dentistry. After several years in small animal general (first-opinion) practice and working as a consulting vet at a zoo in South Carolina, she completed a residency in dentistry and oral surgery in San Diego, CA, becoming a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College in 2025. Dr. Romig practiced in a large multi-specialty and emergency practice in South Carolina for 10 years before joining DentalVets in May 2026.
