Description

The session will be an interactive, case-based discussion focused on veterinary cases where nutritional intervention is critical. Delegates will work through real-world scenarios, asking both the key questions they would pose to clients and those they would seek to answer through diagnostics. This session is designed to enhance clinical decision-making by exploring how to identify nutritional risks, determine when intervention is needed, and select the most appropriate feeding strategies. Participants will engage in collaborative problem-solving, refining their approach to nutritional support in complex cases involving critically ill or compromised patients.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Develop a systematic approach to assessing nutritional needs in complex veterinary cases by asking key diagnostic and client-focused questions.
  • Identify when nutritional intervention is necessary in critically ill or compromised patients based on clinical signs and diagnostic findings.
  • Formulate and evaluate appropriate nutritional strategies for individual cases, incorporating both feeding techniques and diet selection.
