Description
Understanding other people’s experiences and how they navigate the world is the first step to navigating our own biases and creating workplaces where everyone can bring their whole selves to work if they want to. Learn about the different ways our brains match patterns to reality and how to use the power of curiosity to get ahead of your fight-and-flight biases and create new understandings that bridge the gaps between us and our colleagues. In this session we will be challenging the veterinary team to examine how we best foster a truly inclusive culture where everyone is confident they belong.
Key Learning Objectives:
- Identify common types of unconscious bias and how they affect all of us.
- Recognise how these biases can influence decisions and behaviors in the workplace.
- Learn to apply strategies to mitigate bias in daily interactions and organisational practices.
