This practical session will cover key aspects of tube feeding, including placement and management of naso-oesophageal/nasogastric and oesophagostomy tubes. Participants will learn proper techniques, indications, and troubleshooting. The session includes energy requirement calculations and guidance on the staged reintroduction of nutrition. Emphasis will be placed on tube care, client communication, and supporting at-home management. By the end, attendees will be equipped to advocate for feeding tube use and confidently implement effective nutritional plans to improve outcomes for critically ill or nutritionally compromised patients.
